RIGHTS DICTATED BY NATURE

Praise is to Allah, we celebrate His Praise, seek His Help and Forgiveness. We turn to Him, seek refuge in Him from the evils of ourselves and our deeds. Whomsoever Allah guides, none will lead astray and whomsoever He misleads, none will guide. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah Alone with no associate and that Muhammad is His servant and Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon Him), his Family, Companions and their Followers.

Now, the Canonical Law of Allah is meritorious for observing equity and granting each one his due rights with neither excess nor negligence. Allah commands justice, the doing of good and giving liberality to kith and kin. The Messengers were sent (to people), the Books revealed, and the affairs of this world and the Hereafter established, all with full justice.

Justice means granting each one his due rights and appropriate ranks. In order to realize this task, it has been imperative to learn about those rights with the purpose of giving them to their rightful owners. With this idea in mind we have set out to record these rights in this booklet so that Allah’s servants may do their best to effect them.
